People have cough for various reasons. Some could be the result of an underlying health issue, while others could be owing to a milder and, mostly, manageable condition such as an irritation or an inflammation of the throat. It could be dry or phlegm-inducing cough.
If it’s the latter that you seem to be grappling with, then here’s what you can do to help matters:
- Roast some black pepper seed in ghee. Take one seed of roasted pepper and put it on the tongue and suck it until you no more feel the taste/flavor of it. You can do this twice a day when suffering from cough.
- Take half a cup of powdered or mashed jaggery, add 2 tsp of turmeric and pepper powder to it.
*(If the condition persists for more than 2-3 days, you are advised to see a doctor.)
